Future Application

As I embark on my future in the classroom, the knowledge I have crafted travels with me. From the beginning, my goal has been to authentically engage and motivate my students, specifically as readers in and out of the classroom. My research, study of literature, and exposure to other classrooms, teachers, and students has helped me find ways to reach this goal through:
  • meaningfully utilizing technology to support learning
  • helping students to establish a purpose for engagement, specifically through opportunities for student choice

Through growing more confident in my knowledge and my ability as an educator and a leader, I will use this knowledge to share and collaborate with other teachers. Through establishing a deeper global awareness and perspective, I will also use this knowledge to collaborate with educators across our increasingly global society. My development in each of these areas, in confidence as a leader and in perspective as a global citizen, can be seen in the embedded documents below the word cloud.

The following word cloud is inclusive of my final research papers in each of my graduate classes and represents the knowledge and perspective, specifically in engaging students as readers, which will travel with me as I embark on teaching.
